Lincoln Memorial

Welcome to the Lincoln Memorial, a unit of National Mall and Memorial Parks. This presidential memorial prominently occupies the western terminus of the National Mall and offers unparalleled views toward many of the other presidential sites. We invite you to attend all of our fascinating interpretive programs to learn more about this site.

The park staff offers daily interpretive tours every hour on the hour from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. For in-depth programs about this memorial, please click on the above "Things To Do" link. Be certain to attend one of the special "I Have A Dream" programs offered daily at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Lincoln Memorial is part of the National Mall and Memorial Parks. The memorial stands in West Potomac Park, near the convergence of numerous roads from throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In terms of placement, the memorial occupies a highly symbolic and important position as the western "bookend" of the National Mall, while the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial provides the eastern component at the foot of Capitol Hill, two miles to the east.

Lincoln Memorial National Memorial Operating Hours & Seasons
The public may visit the Lincoln Memorial 24 hours a day. Rangers are on duty from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 P.M. daily.
